A season of pressing represents a spiritual journey during a very trying time. This book has 8 chapters, each with a title and scripture reference to back up real life experiences. Sometimes you just have to believe...
They say that if you go to the bridge and the moon smiles down at you, you should place powder on the hood of your car, then you shall see a baby’s footprints and hear its horrific cry in the night...
In the seventies, poor little rich girl, Maddie Sheppard, becomes pregnant by a thing that she called the Shadow Man. Swearing he is Satan himself, Maddie hides the pregnancy from her parents, her town and their God. Afraid her child is a “monster”, she has no choice but to give birth. The Shadow Man comes to claim his child, and in a trance, Maddie throws the child over the railing of a county bridge, jumping over behind him, killing them both.
Present Day—Amanda Sheppard begins having horrible dreams that she can’t explain, or begin to understand. With the help, support and love from her friends and family, she finds a way to reach out to the woman haunting her dreams. Maddie crosses time and the afterlife to reach Amanda, her great-niece, asking for her help. Through a long journey, both awake and asleep, Amanda begins to relive Maddie’s life and everything she had lived through. Amanda realizes that the only thing Maddie is after, is to be forgiven for killing her child. Along the way, through many twists and turns, she ends up helping her grandfather learn about the sister he never knew he had. This is a story of sadness, faith, and love. But most of all...it is about forgiveness.
Have you seen my baby?
Confederate soldiers killed her husband...They stole her toddler son...
Sophrona Barker buried her husband alone, and died after years of searching in the woods, and never finding her son
Teens from all around come to taunt her; saying they have her baby. Her spirit has become dark and angry.
Now…a modern day family takes a vacation in the woods, as a last hoorah before the parents tell their children they are getting a divorce.
After hearing the urban legend in those woods, Makayla, Zoe, Thomas and Dewayne come to taunt the spirit of Sophrona
Out of anger, the spirit retaliates against them; and eventually attaches itself to the family’s own toddler, thinking he is her missing son from over a century ago.
Angered and afraid, the family decide to cut their trip short, until the mother takes pity on the spirit of the woman, changing her mind, and camping out in the Barker cabin.
They meet interesting people along the way: The two sisters who own the town diner, Hilda & Georgia - Shane, the ranger that does his best to keep the woods safe - and four teens, who befriend the family and joins their journey from 'terrifying' to 'loving'.
Together, through their own trials and tribulations, the family with the help of their new group of friends, work together to try to reunite the Barker family, and may just end up salvaging their own.
Not knowing what happened to her ex-gang member boyfriend, Lisa collaborates with a Medium, 3 ghost hunters, an FBI agent, and the Detective that originally arrested him. Thrown together as a unit to solve cold cases that the FBI or police force cannot solve, they use techniques of all sorts to get to the bottom of his case.
They find out that in the world of ghost hunting, and the realm of the Spirit World, anything is possible if given the right time, and patience.
Patience may run out too soon for Lisa, whose heart breaks every day that passes, and they can't reach Kevin. No one knows what happened to him after he turned States Evidence against his gang buddies, and refused the offer of Witness Protection. Is he dead? Is he alive? Is he simply in hiding?
After months of failed attempts to find him, they come to realize...

I believe there is a vicarious thrill in seeing thru another person's eyes. A good artist sees what others see then creates a unique version of it. A great artist does the same thing, but after creating their unique version, they invite others into their vision to examine what the artist sees. I aspire to that goal and invite you into my illustrated poetry to see what I see. I want my poetry to help you look back thru the chapters of your own past and consider the ramifications of the decisions made by your younger self. The hardest lesson to learn is that life, itself, is a grindstone; it can wear you down or polish you up. It all depends on what you are made of. The demons within me penetrate my consciousness uninvited. My relief valve is my writing and composing music, where I can imprison them on paper. Otherwise they scamper about, hiding amidst the debris in my mind. This troubles me no end in trying to live my life. I hope my perspective will help you, the reader, come up with your own answers to deal with questions you may not have thought of as yet.
This book was written to educate Americans about the radical form of socialism spreading across our country today. Schools are teaching a romanticized view of socialism that leaves our younger generation clueless as to what perils it may bring. It is up to adults to understand what socialism is so we can teach our children. For her part, the author commissioned 11 year-old Braylon Nance, who she's known since birth, to draw the cover art for her book to impart the potential benefits of capitalism when one is willing to work hard. The choice between capitalism and socialism is the issue causing great division in America today. Radicals are becoming increasingly vocal about their desire to transform our country to socialism and they’re on the brink of achieving that goal. Most people don’t understand the game the left plays to win. President Donald J. Trump does, and plays it well. That’s why leftists hate him so much. We can’t prevent socialism in our country unless we, too, understand the rules of their game. Now, we can. Thirteen tactics are outlined in the 1972 blockbuster book, "Rules for Radicals", by the father of community organizing, Saul Alinsky. They’ve been used by the left, effectively, for decades. His book is a literal blueprint on how to overwhelm our systems so the public will think the only solution is bigger government. The left’s fastest route to socialism, by any means necessary, discards ethics and uses political correctness to create the chaos needed to advance their agenda. They are stealing elections, eroding our Constitution, and weakening the rule of law. If they succeed, we risk losing our sovereignty and freedoms for generations. "Rules for Deplorables: A Primer for Fighting Radical Socialism" got its name when Hillary Clinton called Trump supporters a "basket of deplorables" during the 2016 presidential campaign. The book was written by Cathi Chamberlain for Americans who want to understand the dangers our country is facing and learn what they can do to preserve our Republic. Each chapter explains an Alinsky tactic through current events to show why it works against our democracy and how we can use it against the left to derail their plan. Armed with the knowledge contained in this book, you’ll be able to take action to help Trump beat the radicals at their own game. Time is of the essence. We may never again have a president with the means, the courage, and the will to save our country from these out-of-control radicals. Good luck, America…
and, May God Bless President Donald J. Trump.
